These terms explain how I work, what you can expect from me, and what I need from you to deliver your project smoothly. By starting a project with Hightime Designs, you agree to the points below.
All projects begin with an agreed brief, price and outline of deliverables.
Any extra work outside the original scope — such as additional pages, extra revisions, new features or additional design concepts — will be quoted separately before work continues.
Each project includes a set number of revisions, outlined during the proposal stage.
Extra revisions beyond the agreed amount are no problem, but will be billed at my standard hourly rate unless we agree otherwise.
You are responsible for providing text, images, brand assets and any other content required for the project.
If you need help with copywriting, photography, sourcing images or creating content, I can provide this as an additional service.
I’ll always give you an estimated start date and completion timeframe.
These timelines depend on you providing feedback and content on time.
Delays in supplying assets or feedback may push the timeline back.
A deposit (usually 25–50%) is required before work begins.
The final balance is due upon project completion and before the final files/website handover.
For monthly retainers, payment is due at the start of each month.
Late payments may pause the project.
7.1 Hosting & Maintenance
Unless a maintenance plan is agreed, the responsibility for hosting, updates, security and backups lies with you once the site is handed over.
7.2 Plugins & Licences
Some premium plugins or themes may require ongoing licence fees. These are the client’s responsibility unless we agree otherwise.
7.3 Hosting, Domains & Email Renewals
I provide optional yearly hosting and advanced email services. Renewal invoices are sent one month before the renewal date. If payment isn’t received by the renewal date, I reserve the right to suspend or cancel the service. Non-payment can result in downtime, loss of email access, or the website becoming unavailable.
I always give reminders and will never cancel a service without fair notice, but ultimately it’s the client’s responsibility to ensure these renewals are paid on time.
Once the final invoice is paid:
You own the final approved artwork, website, or delivered files.
I retain copyright to all working files, unapproved concepts and behind-the-scenes project assets.
You are free to use the final approved design wherever you like.
I may showcase the completed project in my portfolio, website or social media, unless you request otherwise before the project begins.
If either party decides to stop a project:
Work completed up to the cancellation date must be paid for in full.
Deposits are non-refundable once work has started.
Any information you share with me — logins, business details, personal data — is treated as confidential and will never be shared with third parties.
Once a project is completed, I’m still here to help.
Additional support, updates or future changes are billed at my standard rate or through a monthly retainer if you prefer.
If you have any questions about these terms or need something clarified, just ask — I always aim to keep things transparent, simple and fair.
